Privacy Policy
ChatWorks operates an open chat commerce platform for turnkey applets, white label outlets, unified marketplace workflows, and connected messaging experiences including Telegram and WhatsApp. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal and business information when you use ChatWorks and ChatWorks-powered outlets such as MajiPro.
Information We Collect
We may collect identity and account details such as name, email address, mobile number, account type, organisation name, authentication settings, and support communications. We may also collect commerce and interaction data such as chat messages, bot commands, listing content, applet configuration inputs, balances, transaction records, referral details, uploaded media, device metadata, IP address, and webhook event logs.
How We Use Information
We use information to create and secure accounts, deliver marketplace and applet functionality, route and render messages across supported channels, process payments and credits, prevent fraud and abuse, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and improve service quality, reliability, and product design.
Channel And Service Providers
ChatWorks may use third-party infrastructure providers to deliver core functionality, including hosting and identity services, payment services, and messaging transport providers. In the current ChatWorks deployment this may include AWS Amplify, Amazon Cognito, Stripe, Telegram, and Twilio. These providers process only the data necessary for the services they perform on our behalf or as independent service providers to you.
White Label Operators And Marketplace Participants
If you interact with a ChatWorks-powered outlet or marketplace participant, some information you provide may be visible to the relevant operator, seller, buyer, service provider, or counterparty as needed to complete the requested interaction or transaction. For example, a listing, request, provider offer, order detail, or support exchange may be shared with the other party to facilitate matching or fulfilment.
Payments And Billing
Payment instructions, reserve balances, message credit purchases, and related transaction metadata may be processed and stored to operate applets and support billing. ChatWorks does not intentionally store full card numbers in application code or local page state; card payments are handled through third-party payment processors where applicable.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures include access controls, environment-based secrets management, optional multi-factor authentication, and audit logging. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, and you use ChatWorks with that understanding.
Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain records, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, regulatory, and security requirements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the workflow involved.
Your Choices
You may update certain account details, choose whether to enable optional authenticator-based two-factor authentication, and decide whether to interact with us through supported messaging channels. Where applicable, you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data, subject to operational, legal, or fraud-prevention constraints.
Children
ChatWorks is not intended for children without appropriate consent and supervision where required by law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can review and address the issue.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time as the ChatWorks platform, legal requirements, or service provider footprint evolves. Continued use of the service after an update means the revised policy applies to your ongoing use.
